Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with strong PHP skills to build and customize WordPress and WooCommerce themes and plugins from scratch. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing visually appealing, responsive websites and delivering custom WordPress and WooCommerce solutions.

What you’ll do:
- Develop visually appealing, responsive websites.
- Develop custom themes and plugins as needed.
- Implement new features and functionalities for WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain existing WordPress and WooCommerce codebases.
- Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs.
- Perform site maintenance, updates, and upgrades as needed.
- Manage and update website content, including text, images, videos, and other media.
- Collaborate with clients, designers and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 3+ years of experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular, Bootstrap, TailwindCSS) for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces.
- Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi.
- Proven experience in converting Figma designs into fully functional websites.
- Expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with REST API, GraphQL, and headless WordPress.
- In-depth knowledge of WooCommerce, including setup, configuration, and customization.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- A solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce coding standards and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Grit, strong problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Nice to have:
- Experience with SEO optimization and web performance tuning.
- Experience adding plugins and themes to the WordPress public directory and WooCommerce Marketplace.
- Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
- Knowledge of automation tools like Gulp or Webpack.
- Familiarity with cloud hosting environments like AWS or DigitalOcean.
